Important Update on the Term of Responsibility (Model 4)

As of November 4, 2024, the Term of Responsibility (Model 4) regarding the living conditions of foreign citizens in national territory is only accepted with a signature duly recognized by a Notary, Lawyer, or Solicitor.

This document is a formal commitment whereby the resident in Portugal declares responsibility for the foreign citizen's stay, any potential removal expenses, and compliance with current Portuguese legislation.
